Students attending in-person orientation June and July are invited to stay on-campus as it’s a great way to meet other students, enjoy some casual time, and easily participate in all of our evening events.

Once students have a confirmed orientation date, they can make their reservation for on-campus orientation housing. You can also find this link will also be in the student confirmation page in your Orientation Portal.

The cost of housing on campus during orientation is $46 per night and will be billed to the student's IU bursar account by IU Housing after their stay. There is no obligation to keep this reservation, and the student will not be charged unless they actually check into housing during orientation.

During August and January Orientation Programs, we are unable to offer specific orientation housing. Students with on-campus housing contracts will be able to arrange with IU Housing to move directly into their assigned residence center for an additional fee. Fees and instructions will be provided prior to orientation and based on IU Housing policies.
