Welcome Week Teams

Welcome Week is one of the most exciting times at IU, and Welcome Week (WW) Teams are here to greet new students as they arrive in the fall. Each residence hall has a WW Team that consists of 1 WW Team Coordinator and up to 15 WW Team Members. There is also a WW Team dedicated to welcoming international students who arrive earlier in August. These teams are responsible for creating a welcoming environment, planning events for late nights, and supporting both campus wide and localized events.

Welcome Week Team Coordinators, along with an advisor, coordinate the duties and development of Team Members, plan late night programming, and assist with a campus-wide planning assignment. WW Team Coordinators will receive professional development, leadership skills, an opportunity to move back to campus by August 8, all the benefits that Team Members receive, and $50 in CrimsonCard credit. Deadline for applications is Friday, February 16.

Welcome Week Team Members will work as a team to implement events and create a welcoming environment. WW Team Members move to campus August 9 and will have any on-campus early arrival fees covered. They will develop leadership and other marketable skills and will receive a t-shirt and some meals. Deadline for applications is Friday, March 9.

The Team Coordinator and Team Members working with our international students will have the opportunity to move in early to help these students transition to Bloomington.
