Parents or someone else helping out with your bills? Set them up as an "Authorized Payer" to have access to your statements, be able to make payments, and more.
Avoid late fees, understand how and when you will see your electronic billing statement, review IU billing and payment procedures .

Sign up to receive your IRS Form 1098-T Tuition Statement online. Must do so by December 31. See instructions here .

Make your travel and lodging plans. Information is included in your confirmation, which you can also review here in your FY(Me) pages.
Open and read all emails from FYE – we will send you information as it becomes pertinent.
Review all details in your NSO Confirmation Packet.
Read the required article included in your Confirmation Packet. Bring this with you and be prepared to discuss.
Review the University Division New Student website and complete your Academic Planning Worksheet. Print and bring to NSO with you. (link will be available after April 26)
Taking a Chemistry course at IU? You need to take the Online Chemistry Placement Exam. Review information and see practice exams here: http://www.chem.indiana.edu/undergraduate/entry-exams/index.asp
Take your required Foreign Language Placement Exam online PRIOR TO your New Student Orientation program. Neglecting to do so could affect your ability to register for courses. (link will be available after April 26)

Review and sign your housing and meal contract once they are available. Watch for information at "My Housing" on the RPS website.
Read through the "Move In Guide" on the RPS website . Know what you can, can't, should and shouldn't bring with you if you're moving on campus.
Plan your arrival in the fall. The official opening day is Wednesday, August 15th. Review move in options on the RPS website .
RSVP for the August 15th Freshman Induction Ceremony – invite your parents. It's a campus tradition – make The Indiana Promise, sing "Hail to Old IU" and hear from President McRobbie. The 45 minute ceremony is the only place you can get your official IU pin and is followed by the Induction Picnic for all new students and their parents/family. RSVPs will be taken after New Student Orientation starts.
Explore the University Information Technology Services website and run the Get Connected software on your computer before arriving on campus.

Check your IU email address for updates from the university. Important information is communicated to you through this account, including your housing assignment and Bursar bills.

Complete your Health Information needs. Please visit IU Health Center's website and review the information there for new IU students and parents. Save time by setting up your patient portal account now and completing your Health History Questionnaire.
